I Gave The Prince To My Sister And Found My True Mate Chapter 18
In the mirror, my lips were scarlet, but my eyes brimmed with tears.
Once, I had always imagined my wedding as something lively and grand.
I had wanted the entire capital to know that the second daughter the Porter family brought home could be loved, could have a wedding with dignity.
But when the day truly arrived, I suddenly no longer wanted to prove anything at all.
“Let’s go.”
I opened the door myself, my steps so light it felt as though an invisible chain had finally fallen away.
Rosalie’s room was at the other end of the hall.
Tomorrow, she too would be wearing the gown prepared by the royal family and going to Lucian’s estate.
As I walked toward the motorcade, I suddenly looked back.
Rosalie was standing behind the second-floor window.
She was looking at me, and in her eyes, that old certainty that she would be the one to win had finally returned.
Through the open window, she said, “Audrey, once you leave, never come back.”
I didn’t answer. I only shut the car door.
Caleb came to the side of the car and asked quietly, “What happened?”
“Nothing.”
I shook my head and took the hand he held out to me.
“Let’s go.”
