I Gave The Prince To My Sister And Found My True Mate Chapter 17
No one in the living room said a word.
Mother’s expression shifted several times before she finally forced a stiff smile.
“Commander Warren, tomorrow is too rushed. At the very least, we should discuss the ceremony—”
Caleb ignored her.
He only looked up at me, his dark eyes lit with a clear, unwavering light.
“Caleb.”
I answered softly.
“I will.”
He smiled.
It was like the endless ice and snow of Northwatch finally thawing in spring.
Caleb meant what he said.
The next morning, the border legion’s armored SUVs were already parked outside the Alpha’s residence.
There was no nationwide broadcast and no distinguished guests.
Caleb stood at the very front in his black formalwear. Behind him were three hundred soldiers who had crossed the rogue zone with him and fought alongside him on the northern front line.
They carried no combat gear. Each wore only a small red flower pinned to the chest of their uniform. From the commander’s residence all the way to Cedar Valley’s territorial gate, the entire column stood in silent protection along our wedding route.
Mother was frightened by the sheer display.
She wanted to stop it, muttering again and again that the preparations were inadequate and the ceremony too rushed, saying Rosalie had not yet entered the royal family and that as the younger sister, I should not marry ahead of her.
Caleb gave her only one answer.
“If you are unwilling to bless Audrey as her mother, then you don’t need to attend.”
At last, Mother fell silent.
In my room, I changed into a simple red gown.
There was no styling team, no attendants, no embrace from Mother or Rosalie.
