He Locked Me Out Now He’s Begging Me Back Chapter 47
The post had gone up at 1:17 in the morning.
The title was only one sentence:
“How a wealthy woman used lawyers to throw a single mother and child out of their home.”
The image was of the house that had already been sold.
The photo had been taken the night of the barbecue party. Folding tables stood on the lawn, the front door to the main house stood open, and Daniel was at the grill while Tessa held Noah—a cozy family snapshot.
I was at the edge of the frame.
She had cropped me out.
In the body of the post, she wrote that after losing her job, she had turned to her father for help and had only meant to stay for a few weeks, but was instead humiliated by her stepmother. She wrote that I had refused to help care for an eight-year-old child, forced them to transfer schools, and used my high income and expensive lawyers to force the sale of “her father’s shared home.”
The last paragraph said:
“She took most of the money from the sale and bought herself a condo downtown. My son and I had to go back to renting. Maybe the law stands with people who have money, but the neighbors deserve to know the truth.”
There were already dozens of comments.
Someone asked if I was the woman who had gotten angry over a bookshelf at the barbecue.
