She Framed Me As Unfit So I’ll See Her In Court Chapter 05

The doorbell suddenly rang.

On the camera feed, a strange man stood outside my door, repeatedly checking his phone against the house number before pounding hard on the door.

“Nia? I saw the ad. Open up.”

My stomach clenched. Ice shot through my veins.

In my last life, it had been this same voice. I’d cried and begged him to leave, but a video of it had been posted online and turned into proof that my private life was a mess.

“Mom, take Maya into the bedroom and lock the door. Don’t come out.”

My mother’s face went pale, but she picked Maya up at once.

I turned on the video recording on my phone, opened the doorbell intercom, and dialed 911.

“I need police immediately. The address is 14 Elm Street. A strange man has come to my home because of a sexual ad that exposed my address. My young daughter and I live here, and I fear for our safety.”

The man outside waved his phone at the camera. “You’re the one who told me to come!”

I stared at the screen and spoke even more clearly.

“911 operator, I am speaking to you through the doorbell camera, and the stranger at my door can see that I am calling the police.”

The patrol car arrived quickly. The man was still insisting the ad had said “house calls anytime” when the police took him away for questioning.

I submitted the ad screenshot, the text messages, and the doorbell footage. After giving my statement, I got the second case number.

That ad had been meant to ruin me.

Now it was criminal evidence that Sloan and Caleb had turned online harassment into a real-world threat, directly endangering a child’s safety.
