Abandoned XXL Wife: My Second Husband Is A Tycoon Chapter 10

When I arrived, Ethan waved me over.

“Sophie. You said you wanted to get back into design.”

He gestured toward the man beside him.

“Let me introduce you to Joseph. He’s one of the most famous designers in the world.”

“Joseph?”

My eyes lit up.

“I’ve seen all your work! You’re one of my favorite designers!”

Ethan smiled. “This is my wife, Sophie.”

“She admires your work. I was hoping you’d be willing to give her some advice.”

Joseph grinned.

“Of course! Ethan is my friend. How could I say no?”

I sat with Joseph at a quiet table and showed him some of my recent designs.

I expected a few polite compliments.

Instead, he studied every page carefully. Then he looked up.

“Sophie, you’ve got real talent.”

“You can absolutely make your children’s brand work.”

I couldn’t stop smiling.

We started talking about fabrics, colors, children’s clothing, and what mothers actually wanted.

For the first time in years, I felt like I was back where I belonged.

Then a loud commotion broke out across the ballroom.

I looked up.

Daniel had forced his way inside.

One of the security guards hurried over to Ethan.

“Mr. Foster, I’m sorry. Mr. Kane insisted on seeing you. We couldn’t stop him.”

Ethan’s expression hardened.

Daniel shoved the guards away and rushed over.

“Mr. Foster!” Please give Kane Trading a chance!”

“We’ve spent six months preparing for this partnership.”

He pulled a proposal from his briefcase.

“Please look at our plan. I promise you won’t regret it.”

Every eye in the ballroom turned toward Ethan.

Ethan didn’t even look at the proposal. He simply raised a hand.

“Sophie. Come here.”

I walked over, confused. Ethan looked at me.

“What do you think?”

“Should I give Kane Trading a chance?”

I stared at him.

Daniel let out a mocking laugh.

“Mr. Foster, why would you ask her? She doesn’t know anything about business.”

“She was just a housewife.”

He looked around the room.

“You may not know this, but Sophie is my ex-wife.”

“She came from an ordinary family. She spent all day dealing with little household problems.”

“What could she possibly know about business?”

The room went quiet. People exchanged looks.

Then Ethan reached for my hand. He held it in front of everyone.

“Sophie.” He looked at me.

“Want me to deal with this asshole for you?”

I looked at Daniel. Then I shook my head.

“No.”

“I’ll do it myself.”

I stepped forward.

And slapped him.

Hard.

Daniel’s head snapped to the side.

“That one’s for breaking your vows.”

“For betraying me.”

Before he could speak, I slapped him again.

“That one’s for pushing me into a corner and making sure I had nowhere to go.”

Another slap.

“This one is for everything between us.”

“We’re even now.”

“Stay out of my life.”

“Get out.”

Daniel’s face twisted. He raised his hand.

Before he could touch me, Ethan caught his wrist.

Then Ethan moved once.

Daniel’s arm was twisted behind his back, his throat pinned.

Ethan’s voice was ice cold.

“You were going to hit my wife?”

Daniel’s eyes widened.

“Your wife?”

“Mr. Foster, how could someone like you possibly want a woman like her?”

“She’s divorced. She has nothing.”

“You can’t let her fool you with that innocent act.”

He looked at me. “Sophie, what did you do to him?”

“What did you do to make him want you?”

Ethan’s eyes went cold.

“Get him out.”

He looked at security.

“And make sure he never sets foot on Foster property again.”

Daniel was dragged toward the door.

He was still shouting.

A guest nearby quietly leaned toward him.

“Mr. Kane, if you don’t want your company to go bankrupt, I’d shut up.”

“I’ve never seen Mr. Foster this angry.”

“You picked the wrong woman to mess with.”

Daniel was thrown outside.

He lay on the pavement, staring up at the mansion.

He still couldn’t understand it.

How had Ethan Foster, a man who could have any woman in the city, fallen for his divorced ex-wife?
