At My Baby Shower He Celebrated Another Woman’s Child Chapter 25

In the gallery, Graham closed his eyes.

The next second, Sadie turned on my parents.

“Diane and Paul wanted Nora gone! They gave me her room, and they told me no matter what happened, they would stand by me!”

My mother covered her face. My father bowed his head.

At last, they were tasting what it felt like to be used and publicly discarded by Sadie.

But compared to the life Iris lost, this humiliation was nothing.

When the court recessed, Sadie looked at me past the bailiffs.

“Nora, do you really have to send me to prison?”

“Not me.”

I met her gaze.

“You sent the texts. You forged the screenshot. You made the call. You brought yourself here.”

“What about Clara?”

She clutched her final shield.

“She’s so little. She can’t be without her mother.”

“When you framed a woman who was eight months pregnant, did you ever think about her child?”

Sadie’s face turned a ghostly white.

Before the bailiffs led her away, she suddenly shrieked, “Graham, save me! You promised you’d take care of me for the rest of my life!”

Graham didn’t move.

But from the other side of the courtroom, Caleb rose.

With the court-certified paternity test, he had already filed for full custody of Clara.

“The child won’t be without a parent,” he said calmly. “But she won’t be used to defraud a trust or shield a criminal from responsibility, either.”

Sadie tried to lunge at him, but a bailiff caught her wrist.

The sound of metal locking shut echoed in the hallway.

A year ago, I had heard that same sound.

The difference was, back then, I was an innocent pregnant woman who had been framed.

Now, the person being led away was guilty beyond all doubt.
