Drain My Mafia Husband Dry With His Seven Mistresses Chapter 06

Freedom

The meeting went smoothly.

More than half the Greyson empire’s senior people agreed to follow me into a new operation.

The rest, out of loyalty to the Old Don’s memory, couldn’t bring themselves to leave. But every one of them signed a non-disclosure agreement. None would move against me.

The Greyson empire was now an empty shell.

Collapse was just a matter of time. Even if the Old Don rose from the grave, there’d be nothing left to save.

I hosted a small celebration at the hilltop estate.

Number Two raised her glass of red wine. A toast.

Oh, speaking of numbers…

For years, Dominic called them by numbers. The order he collected them.

But sitting here tonight, in my own home, free from the Greyson name, they weren’t numbers anymore.

They were Natasha. Elena. Camille. Diana. Jade. Ruby. Lily.

Natasha raised her glass of red wine. A toast.

I lifted mine and looked at each of them. “From today on, no more numbers.”

These years, we each played a different role. But the hatred for Dominic was the same across the board. We worked ourselves to the bone draining his empire, not just for the money, but for the chance to finally walk away.

A few glasses in, the emotions came loose.

Camille threw herself into my arms, sobbing. “That bastard told me he was single when he chased me. Said I was his one and only. I almost got canceled. My career was nearly destroyed by the scandal. And when the heat came, he vanished. Didn’t take a single call. Didn’t release a single statement.” She hiccupped through the tears. “You were the one who stepped up. You cleared my name. You built me back up. Made me A-list. I will never forget what you did for me.”

Jade and Ruby nodded through tears.

They’d been close friends before Dominic got involved. Barely out of college when he sank his teeth in. Young. Naive. Knew nothing about men or the games they play.

He played them against each other. Whispered lies to both sides. Pitted them like rivals fighting over a prize. Nearly destroyed their friendship and got them expelled from school.

I pulled them back from the edge. Supported them all the way through their doctorates.

And then there was Natasha. Elena. Diana. Lily.

All different. Different backgrounds, different faces, different stories.

But every single one of them had been the brightest star in her field before Dominic Greyson happened. They all should have had brilliant futures. Instead, they got lured in by his false love at the peak of their youth. Trapped in a gilded cage built of money and empty promises. Turned into pretty birds with clipped wings. And the moment his interest faded, he tossed them aside like dusty toys. Forgotten. Discarded.

Every one of them had broken down at some point. Cried. Wanted to die. I dragged them back from the edge every single time. Gave them a path that was hard, but real.

They didn’t let me down. They walked it with me all the way to today.

Without Natasha’s ruthless eye for investments, none of this would have worked. Without Diana’s legal expertise, we couldn’t have dodged the risks. Without Elena’s connections in the medical world, without Camille’s public influence, without Jade and Ruby’s research networks, without Lily’s quiet loyalty holding it all together.

It wasn’t easy. None of it was. But we made it.

I drained my glass in one go and stroked Camille’s hair. “It’s over now. Don’t think about the bad times anymore. What does everyone want to do next?”

Natasha, always so controlled, always so composed, suddenly went red around the eyes. “I know nothing lasts forever. But we don’t want to leave you.”

I smiled and wiped her tears. “I don’t want to leave you either. But everyone deserves their own life.”

We had more money than we could ever spend. We had skills. Careers. Independence. None of us needed anyone else to be our safety net or our salvation anymore. It was time to live.

They all nodded.

All except Natasha.

She grabbed my hand. Her grip was tight. Her voice shook. “I’ll do whatever you say. But I need to watch Dominic go down with my own eyes.” Her breath hitched. “Back then, he wanted me as his mistress. When I refused, he destroyed my father’s company. Bankrupted us overnight. He thought he’d swoop in like a hero after. Save me with his money.” Her voice cracked. “But my dad took my mom to the rooftop and jumped rather than bow to Dominic Greyson.”

Ten years of silence. Ten years of holding it in. The tears finally broke free, streaming down her face like a dam had burst.

“I waited so long for this. He doesn’t get to throw money around and trample on people’s dignity like it means nothing. He doesn’t get to walk away from this.”

The others went quiet. Then one by one, they nodded. Memories of their own pain surfacing.

I took a deep breath. Drained my last glass.

“Soon,” I said.

I’d been waiting too. For the day the whole thing came crashing down.

Soon. Very soon.
