He Accused Me Of Stealing But I Heard The Truth Chapter 25

Margaret hadn’t expected me to agree so quickly.

Derek didn’t find out until half an hour later.

By the time he rushed to the hospital, the DNA samples had already been collected.

Rachel stepped forward, but before she could speak, he demanded, “Who told you to bring my grandmother and lawyers here to corner them?”

“It was Margaret’s decision. I couldn’t stop her. Besides, Erin agreed. No one forced her. The sooner this is confirmed, the better for Maisie.”

Derek didn’t argue. He went into the room, confirmed the testing agency and paperwork with me, then had his own lawyers review the privacy clauses.

Two weeks later, the results came in.

Maisie was Derek’s biological daughter.

That same day, his assistant brought him another report.

“We have an answer on the funds you asked us to trace. The relocation money was never wired to Erin. Under the guise of ‘third-party escrow,’ Rachel transferred it into an account owned by a shell company.”

“The main account in Erin’s name was just for show, for the audit trail. The address on the application belonged to a registered agent hired by Rachel. The activation email was never sent to Erin.”

The assistant laid property deeds and bank records on the desk.

“Over the past few years, companies controlled by Rachel purchased two overseas properties and covered her personal investment losses. The authorization paperwork used Erin’s scanned signature. Her shell company also paid consulting fees to the former technical director. The exact same administrator token was used to delete the logs.”
