He Cheated With My Friend My Parents Helped Chapter 12
Laura lowered her head, silent.
Inside the house, Thomas sat alone at the dining table, drinking bourbon.
He had never known. Sienna was the daughter his wife had given birth to before they’d met, a secret she had kept for decades.
All this time, he had gone along with Laura’s plan, letting Gabriel and Sienna meet in his home.
He had even convinced himself it was for Margot’s own good.
“With Margot’s personality, Gabriel will get tired of her sooner or later.”
“Instead of letting him divorce her, we give them a place to meet where they won’t get caught. That way, he has to keep Margot as his wife.”
That’s what Laura had told him.
Only now, looking back, could he see the weight his daughter had been forced to carry. Three years ago, at least, he had genuinely wanted to fight for her.
Thomas took out his phone and called Margot again and again.
Every call went to voicemail.
His iMessages were blocked.
Thomas bent over the table and wept.
Margot was the only daughter he had ever known, and for the sake of a secret, he had shattered her.
Meanwhile, Laura took Sienna to a nearby hotel.
Sienna complained the entire way.
“We agreed you’d never tell her. Why did you bring it up?”
Laura stared at her, baffled.
“I thought if she knew you were sisters, she might be willing to cut you some slack.”
Sienna’s voice rose, sharp and cutting. “She already hates me. Why would she care that we’re related?”
