He Cheated With My Friend My Parents Helped Chapter 25
After the complaint was dismissed, I thought Sienna would finally stop.
A week later, on the day of my project’s public presentation, she appeared outside the institute.
I saw her through the lobby’s glass walls and stopped in my tracks.
She was much thinner than in her photos, her stomach flat again. She stood with her arms crossed, blocking the sign-in table.
“Margot, we need to talk.”
The receptionist looked at me. “Do you know this person, Ms. Archer?”
“Yes. But she’s not on the guest list.”
Sienna’s face fell.
“I’m your sister. Are you really going to humiliate me like this in front of everyone?”
Heads turned in the lobby.
It was her greatest skill: playing the victim. The moment her eyes reddened, I became the cold, unforgiving one.
I didn’t move any closer.
“You made anonymous, harassing calls to my workplace. Now you’ve shown up in person. What exactly do you want to talk about?”
Sienna clearly hadn’t expected me to call her out so publicly.
“I just want you to return some of the assets you took from Gabriel. You have a job, and you have Julian. All he has is his company.”
“The court awarded that property to me under the terms of our legal agreement.”
“But that agreement was signed years ago! He never thought you’d actually use it.”
I laughed.
“So when he signed it and said he was giving me a choice, that was just another lie. And when I actually chose to leave, you both decided I shouldn’t get what I was promised.”
Sienna took a step toward me.
