He Deceived Me So I Destroyed His Family’s Legacy Chapter 30

Before the jury went out to deliberate, I visited the detention center.

Not to hear Adrian’s excuses.

I went to have him sign the divorce papers.

Separated by thick glass, he picked up the phone.

“So you finally came to see me.”

I held the papers up to the glass.

The faint light in his eyes died.

“I won’t sign.”

“If you don’t, the court will grant the divorce anyway.”

“Then why did you come?”

I looked at him.

“Because I don’t want to wait another day.”

His fingers tightened around the receiver.

“Nora, I’m going to prison for a long time.”

“The Blackwood family is finished.”

“Vanessa betrayed me.”

“And you’re leaving me now, too?”

I almost laughed.

“Even now, you still think this is me leaving you.”

“You were the one who left on our wedding night.”

“You were the one who gave me to Julian.”

“You were the one who used Lily’s medication to threaten me, who locked her away, and who tried to force her to marry her rapist.”

“Adrian, this didn’t end today.”

“It ended the moment you decided my body, my child, and my sister’s life were all pieces on your board to be moved as you saw fit.”
