He Deceived Me So I Destroyed His Family’s Legacy Chapter 33
It was the first time she had decided for herself what happened to her own body.
But Mrs. Blackwood took a step forward.
“That was Julian’s last child!”
“How could you?”
Lily looked at her.
“When I lost the first four, did you ever ask if I was in pain?”
Mrs. Blackwood froze.
“All you care about is whether someone will inherit the Blackwood name.”
“But I am not a vessel for your family’s children.”
Her voice still shook, but she didn’t retreat.
Mrs. Blackwood turned to me.
“If you withdraw your testimony, I can make Adrian agree to the divorce.”

“Then I’ll give you the Hale house.”
“The court already did.”

At last, panic flickered across her face.
“Then what do you want?”
I looked at her.
“I want you in that courtroom.”
“I want you to sit in the gallery and listen to what your two sons did to all those people.”
“I want you to understand that I did not destroy the Blackwood family.”
“You destroyed it the moment you decided a person’s life was worth less than a surname.”
The color drained from her face.
The next day, she came to court.
But she did not sit behind Adrian.
She sat in the last row, beside Laura’s mother.
The gray-haired woman recognized her but said nothing.
Until the judge entered, neither woman looked at the other.
