He Let Me Bleed So I Let Him Go Chapter 24
Bianca lost her balance and fell hard to the pavement.
Elena looked up.
Luca was standing beside her.
His suit was still immaculate, his cuffs perfectly fastened. His face was impassive, as if he had just moved a piece of furniture out of the way.
Her gaze went past his shoulder.
And there, at the entrance to the parking lot, stood Dante.
He wore a dark gray suit, his face a cold mask, but his eyes were a storm of emotion.
He didn’t speak.
From the look on his face, he had heard every word.
Bianca, still on the ground, followed Elena’s line of sight and turned.
The blood drained from her face.
“Dante…”
Dante didn’t even look at her.
His eyes were locked on Elena, as if he couldn’t look away.
Elena broke his gaze and looked up at Luca.
Luca was looking down at her, a satisfied smile playing on his lips.
Elena understood.
He hadn’t orchestrated her fight with Bianca, but he had deliberately leaked Bianca’s location to Dante, ensuring he would be here to witness the fallout himself.
“Was this your doing?”
Luca’s smile deepened.
“A little welcome gift.”
Elena gave him a look of weary exasperation.
The truth of the past didn’t need Dante’s validation to exist.
But having him hear it for himself stripped him of his last excuse, his last chance to claim it was all a misunderstanding.
Before Elena could say anything, Dante was already striding toward them.
He was moving fast.
