He Moved His Lover In I Moved My Money Out Chapter 30

A year later, the community library officially opened.

On the day of the ribbon-cutting, Portland was under a light rain.

My mentor could now walk with her cane on her own. She stood at the entrance, watching children run through the glass corridor I had designed, and she couldn’t stop smiling.

“It’s better than that house in Newport,” she said.

“They’re not comparable.”

“How are they not?” She lifted her cane and tapped the glass hall. “Every door here actually welcomes people in.”

I smiled.

In the year since the firm was founded, we had grown from a handful of people to two full floors of office space.

The arts center’s public correction still hung in their archives. Richard’s calls never came again. The Whitmore family sold most of the non-trust assets in Graham’s name to pay fines and restitution.

Claire left Newport with Owen.

Eleanor never contacted me again.

I never asked how any of them were doing.

When the opening ceremony was over, a girl who had received a grant from the education fund came over to me.
