He Signed My Freedom Now He Wants Me Back Chapter 46

I stood up and stepped between them.

“Put your Alpha pressure away. This isn’t Highridge.”

The other customers in the pottery studio had gone silent. The owner sent a security alert to the territorial patrol, and two Tidewatch guards appeared outside the door moments later.

These people weren’t here to watch a family drama.

They were witnesses to Tidewatch’s territorial rules. As long as I said no, even Highridge’s Alpha had to leave.

At the sight of the guards, Lucian finally reined in his aura.

“The children need you,” he said. “Are you really going to raise someone else’s child and give up your own blood?”

“Did they need me when they pushed me down the stairs?”

“Did they need me when they clapped as I was being poisoned?”

“Did they need me when they called Vivian their mother?”

With every question, Lucian’s face grew paler.

Iris clung to my leg, sobbing.

“We’ll only love you from now on. Please don’t leave us.”

My eyes burned, but I did not waver.

From Elias’s arms, Chloe stretched out a small hand and nervously touched my fingers.

“We haven’t finished making our bowls yet.”
