He Sold Me Into Slavery I Returned As Queen Chapter 19
Then he turned to me and took two steps forward.
“Ella, your father was wrong.”
I stepped back.
“Alpha Alaric.”
His face froze.
“I called you Father many times fifteen years ago.”
“No one came to save me.”
Alaric lowered his head, his shoulders shaking uncontrollably.
Lucian looked at him.
“Alaric Raine.”
“The investigation back then was careless. Ella’s death was registered without a proper search.”
“As both her father and her Alpha, you failed gravely in your duty.”
Alaric bowed his head.
“I accept the judgment.”
Lucian’s tone remained cold.
“The Ironwood Pack’s voting rights in the Northern Council are suspended for three years. You are barred from providing guarantees in future selections.”
“The Bloodline Registry will reopen the case. Ironwood is to surrender all records.”
Alaric’s voice trembled.
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
In the hall, the councilors who had publicly petitioned for Cedric all kept their heads bowed.
I turned to Marcus.
“Director Hale.”
His body stiffened.
I asked, “Do you still believe I buried a rare talent?”
Marcus lowered his head.
“I… judged wrongly.”
I smiled faintly.
“The hopes of ordinary candidates matter.”
“But the life of a child sold into slavery should not matter less.”
