He Tested Me With Prenup I Left Him With Regret Chapter 25

Three months after the restraining order took effect, my lawyer received a letter.

The handwriting on the envelope was familiar.

The childish strokes were steadier than I remembered, and in the lower right corner, there was only one name.

Lucy.

My lawyer asked, “Do you want me to open it?”

I was silent for a long time before I nodded.

There was no plea for Grant inside.

Lucy wrote only three things.

She had seen the full chat history.

She had already told every relative they were no longer allowed to use her name to attack me.

And she wanted to know if I still had the drawings I took with me when I left.

On the last line, she wrote:

[If you don’t want to answer, I’ll understand. I just wanted to tell you myself that those tests were never something I asked for.]

I read the letter twice.

Then I opened the cardboard box I still hadn’t fully unpacked after my last move.

The drawings were tucked inside a book, their edges still flat.

The first one had three people in it.

Grant, Lucy, and me.

The second was just Lucy and me, standing in front of a tall row of bookshelves.
