His Fake Proposal Led Me To My Real Husband Chapter 09
Before he could finish, Mason spun around and shouted, “Shut up!”
He glared at Tyler.
“Who told you to throw the favor box she made?”
“Who told you to joke about her mother?”
Tyler froze.
“Mason, what the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Mason’s voice started to tremble.
“Since when did you start treating her pain like it was entertainment?”
Tyler’s face changed.
“You were standing right there. You didn’t stop me.”
“That’s right, I didn’t.”
Mason’s voice was even shakier now.
“But I didn’t tell you to throw the box.”
Tyler stared at him.
“You didn’t tell me to stop, either.”
The expressions of the men around them cooled. They could all see that Mason was just looking for someone to blame.
One of the men who was usually close to Tyler spoke up.
“Mason, if you’re going to start yelling at Tyler now, you’re picking the wrong target.”
Mason turned.
“What did you say?”
“I said the fake proposal was your idea.”
“When Tyler threw the box, you were standing right there.”
“When he joked about Mrs. Walker, you heard him. It wasn’t the first time you’d laughed along, either.”
“Now that Rebecca doesn’t want you, suddenly you want to pin it all on your friends?”
The last trace of color vanished from Mason’s face.Â
