His Lesson Killed My Mother Now He Will Pay Chapter 39

The day the apartment sale proceeds hit my account, I transferred my entire share of the compensation to the Elena Reyes Disaster Emergency Evacuation Fund.

In the memo line, I wrote a single sentence:

*To return what should never have been taken.*

That night, the Vale family’s statement vanished from the internet.

Aisha sent me a video link. Graham sat in a bare rental apartment, a scuffed white wall the only thing behind him.

“Canceling the evacuation vehicle was my decision. Sloane didn’t force me, and Nora didn’t destroy me.”

He looked straight into the camera, his voice hoarse but steady.

“My family tried to package me as a manipulated victim, not for the sake of the truth, but to protect the Vale name.”

“But Elena Reyes had no obligation, in her final moments, to make any name look respectable.”

At the end of the video, he took out the document relinquishing his rights to the family trust and turned through the pages until he reached the signature line.

The pen touched down without hesitation.

“As of today, I renounce all rights to the Vale family trust. This is not a request for Nora’s forgiveness, and it does not lessen my responsibility.”

He signed, then pushed the document toward the camera.

“It only means the Vale family can never again use that inheritance to bargain for Nora’s signature on a statement that isn’t true.”
