I Died The Day My Husband’s Girlfriend Did A Magic Trick. Chapter 12

“It was her! It was that lunatic Josephine!”

“She was the one who said she wanted to scare Meredith in the box.”

“She switched the knife, too.”

“I had no idea she would use a real blade!”

His eyes were bloodshot, the veins in his neck bulging.

Whatever affection he had felt was gone. Only raw hatred remained.

He finally understood that Josephine had been manipulating him from the start.

“I want to see her.”

“I want to ask her to her face why she framed me.”

The detective agreed.

The police arranged a confrontation through one-way glass.

Caius stood on one side, watching as Josephine was brought into the room on the other.

Her hair was a mess and her face was pale, but as soon as she saw Caius, she rushed to the glass and began to cry.

“Caius, save me.”

“Tell the police you told me to do it, please?”

Caius stared at her, his face a mask of disgust.

He slammed his fist against the glass.

“Josephine, are you even human?”

“You killed Meredith, and now you want me to take the blame for you?”

“Why didn’t you tell me you switched to a real knife?”

Josephine’s tears stopped instantly.

Her weak, pitiful expression vanished.

She stared back at Caius and suddenly laughed.

“Why are you pretending to be so innocent?”

“Can you honestly say you didn’t want Meredith dead?”
