I Let Her Ruin Herself Chapter 17

The next time I saw Taylor was in the men’s restroom at corporate headquarters.

She was wearing a wig and a fake employee badge and had somehow snuck onto a restricted floor.

I pushed the door open and saw her step out from behind a stall. I immediately took a step back.

“What are you doing? This is the men’s room.”

Taylor wasn’t crying.

She stared at me, her eyes filled with pure hatred.

“Adrian, you were reborn, too, weren’t you?”

The question answered itself. She remembered.

“How could you be so cruel?” she demanded. “Why did you ruin my life?”

“I didn’t stop you from being with Derek.”

“The man you loved most didn’t go to prison because of me. Isn’t that what you wanted in your last life?”

Taylor fell silent for a few seconds, then undid the top button of her blouse and stepped toward me.

All I felt was disgust.

At that moment, anyone in that restroom who forgot to flush had more respect for boundaries than she did.

“I’ll give you one more chance,” she said. “Divorce Hannah and marry me. If you do, I can let the past go.”

“Are you not hearing me? The sight of you makes me sick. Stay away from me and my family.”

I pulled out my phone.

“Taylor, you need to hear this clearly. I will not be with you. Now get away from me.”

I called internal security.

Two female security officers arrived and escorted her out of the restroom as she struggled.

“Adrian, you’ll regret this!”

Legal served her with a no-trespass order. If she set foot on company property again, she would be arrested.
