Adrian reached out as if to touch me.
A red plum branch suddenly sliced through the air.
Charged with wolf strength, the branch cut across his wrist like a blade, and his hand dropped into the snow.
Adrian stared for a second before he started screaming.
Rowan emerged from the plum grove, moisture and frost clinging to his black coat.
Adrian writhed in agony on the ground.
“Julian! How dare you do this to me!”
Rowan gave a cold smile.
“And what exactly are you going to do about it?”
Adrian threatened to tell their father everything and ordered his guards to call for help.
Rowan walked to my side. He had barely spoken my name when Adrian’s screaming drowned him out again.
Annoyed, Rowan turned and stepped on Adrian’s wound.
“You can’t stand even this little pain?”
Adrian looked up at him in horror, then suddenly seemed to grasp something.
“You’re not Julian.”
“Julian would never be this vicious. Who are you?”
A chill entered Rowan’s eyes. A short blade had already slipped from his sleeve into his hand.
“What happened here?”
