My Best Friend My Husband And My Divorce Chapter 09
Just then, the duty nurse pushed the door open and checked my vital signs monitor.
“You just had an abortion procedure. You must rest well this month and take the medication prescribed by the doctor on time.”
“Fortunately, the ambulance arrived in time, otherwise you would have been in life-threatening danger.”
My tears immediately fell as I raised my hand to touch my flat stomach.
The child I had hoped for so long had quietly come when I didn’t know.
After a brief stay, it had hurriedly left.
Seeing me cry sadly, the nurse handed me tissues while recording data on her iPad to comfort me.
“You’re still young. You can have children anytime after your body recovers. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.”
“By the way, your husband was crying anxiously outside the operating room. You can tell he cares about you very much.”
“His company seemed to have an emergency so he left, but he asked me to give you this note.”
She pressed a sticky note into my hand and left the room.
I looked at the handwriting on the note and smiled bitterly.
“I’m taking Zoe back to her apartment first. She stayed up all night with me watching over you and almost fainted from low blood sugar.”
“We can have another child later. Don’t be sad.”
“I’ll be back to see you soon. Stay in the room and wait for me, okay.”
I crumpled the note into a ball and threw it into the medical waste bin.
We would never have a future together.
We would never have children together again.Â
