My Best Friend My Husband And My Divorce Chapter 16
I looked at the hatred burning in her eyes and suddenly realized I had never truly seen her clearly in all these years.
We had been so close before, she had always cared so much about me, reminding me to bring umbrellas, reminding me to take vitamins.
In high school when I broke my leg skiing and had to use a wheelchair for months.
The school building had no elevator, so she carried me up and down stairs every day, carrying me for three whole months.
When exactly did her feelings toward me turn completely into jealousy and malice?
But having reached this point, I was too lazy to investigate further.
Meeting her gaze, I said flatly:
“I didn’t force him. I just had my lawyer send him divorce papers.”
When Zoe heard the word divorce, her eyes flashed with wild joy for an instant, then she immediately protested:
“Impossible! If you really filed for divorce, Caleb would never treat me like this! He’d be thrilled to get rid of you and be with me openly! Stop bluffing!”
Her sharp acrylic nails nearly poked into my eyes.
I turned and took a copy of the divorce documents I had signed from the entrance cabinet, throwing them at her.
“Since you say Caleb loves you so much, then go force him to sign these papers.”
“A cheating piece of trash – if you treasure him, then take him.”Â
