My Family Stole My Run I Returned A Leader Chapter 22

And finally, the messages Stefan had sent over the past three years, from one new number after another.

From “When are you coming home” to “I just want to see you once.”

Every time he was blocked, a new number would soon appear.

The registrar read through them one by one.

Tony was the first to go pale.

He lowered his head, no longer daring to look at me.

My mother rushed to explain.

“Those were just angry words.”

“How can family talk be taken so seriously?”

“The roster was only for one trip. It didn’t mean we didn’t want her anymore.”

“In Cedar Ridge, more than anywhere else, everyone knows exactly what public registration represents,” the registrar cut her off.

“You cannot publicly deny her place in the family and then demand restoration of family authority after she has gained an independent identity.”

Stefan stood up.

“The messages were from me. They have nothing to do with the others.”

“I only wanted to apologize.”

The registrar looked at him.

“Continuously switching numbers after being explicitly rejected does not qualify as a normal apology.”

Two hours later, the ruling was read on the spot.

My transfer years ago was completely valid.

Cedar Ridge had no authority to restore any family registration or demand that I provide care for Bella under the pretext of her treatment.

In light of the continued contact attempts and the confrontation at the hotel, the registry also issued temporary contact restrictions.

For the next year, they could only handle necessary matters through designated administrative channels.

My father still looked as if he wanted to say something.

But the registrar had already stamped the ruling.

The sound was light.

Yet it was more effective than every mention of “family” they had ever made.

As I walked out of the hearing room, Lena came toward me, her steps quick.

She held out her phone.

“Bella just started a livestream on her public account.”

On the screen, Bella was sitting outside the project center, her shoulders shaking as she cried.

“My sister helped develop the project that could help me.”

“But because of some conflict in the past, she refuses to treat me.”

The stream title tagged both the project and my name.
