My Fiancé Abandoned Me For Don’s Adopted Daughter But I’m Don’s Real Daughter Chapter 06
“Doctor! Get me a doctor! Somebody save my daughter!”
Everyone was stunned. No one had imagined that I was Don Galluzzo’s real daughter.
Every drop of color drained from Pearl’s face in an instant. She could already see her own death. She lost control of her bladder right there on the spot.
On her white dress, a yellow stain spread for everyone to see.
“No… that’s impossible…”
The doctor arrived quickly. After examining me, he administered an emergency injection to stabilize my condition.
“Sir, your daughter’s body was already weakened from years of hard labor. The abuse she suffered today has pushed her to the brink. Her condition is extremely critical.”
My father wiped the tears from his face, turned around, and clamped both hands around Pearl’s throat.
“Who gave you the nerve? To lay a hand on my daughter?”
Pearl was sobbing uncontrollably, snot and tears streaming down her face.
“Poppa, I didn’t know! I didn’t know she was my sister!”
“I’m sorry! I was wrong! From now on I’ll follow all your orders! You’re so kind and good, please, put in a word for me with Poppa!”
I watched her coldly. I said nothing. Instead, I let out a few more cries of pain.
My father stomped down hard on Pearl’s hand.
“Poppa? Sister? I only took you in because your face looked a little like my daughter’s. You were her stand-in. A nobody from the gutter. What gives you the right to call me Poppa? What gives you the right to call my daughter your sister?”
“Effective immediately, you are no longer my adopted daughter. You are nothing.”
“You liked putting a dog collar on people, didn’t you? From now on, you can wear one yourself.”
The guests erupted.
“What a tragedy. This fake daughter has been causing trouble for years. Don Galluzzo only tolerated her for the sake of his real daughter’s memory. And she dared to do this to the real one? She deserves everything that’s coming.”
“Yeah! Get her! Nobody disrespects the boss’s daughter and walks away!”
My father picked up Pearl’s diamond pin from the ground and walked toward her face.
“Kill her? Too easy. I’m going to make sure she begs to die and never gets the privilege.”
The pin came down on Pearl’s face. My father dragged it slowly, deliberately, carving deep into her skin.
“AHHHHH—”
The scream tore through the air above the venue.
Vincent had spent years in the most violent corners of the underworld. He still went white and collapsed to the floor at the sight.
He crawled on his knees to my father.
“Don Galluzzo, I was coerced! Pearl forced me into everything! I never loved her!”
“Rosa and I have been together for three years. She’s the love of my life! She’s the only woman I’ve ever cared about!”
Vincent was shameless beyond measure. Before I could even respond, Pearl, her face now a ruined mess, was already screaming at him.
“Vincent! You came to me first! You said you wanted power! You said your fiancée was useless and you wanted to get rid of her!”
Something vicious flashed across Vincent’s face. He grabbed a shard of broken glass from the wrecked flower arch and slashed Pearl’s throat.
“Shut up! She’s lying, Don Galluzzo, I loved Rosa, she’s the love of my life… “
Pearl didn’t survive. She lay in a growing pool of her own blood.
Vincent regained his composure and knelt before my father again, pledging his loyalty.
“Don Galluzzo, I’ve already made her pay for what she did to your daughter!”
“Your daughter was my advisor for three years. She guided me, supported me, built me into everything I am today.”
“Now that you and Rosa are reunited, it’s time for our family to come together. I am still her fiancé. I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to her.”
My father studied Vincent’s face for a long moment.
“Is that so? You say you love my daughter? Then tell me, how exactly did she end up on the floor of your wedding wearing a dog collar?”
Vincent’s mouth opened. Nothing came out.
My father turned to me. “My angel, is there anything else I should know?”
I laughed. Blood and tears ran down my face at the same time. I raised my hand and pointed toward the storage room.
My father’s bodyguards went in to search. They came back quickly, carrying two things.
One was the surveillance footage from the storage room camera, showing everything. Pearl smearing mud across my face, laughing. Vincent ordering his men to shave my head and shoving the ring box into my mouth. Pearl clipping the dog collar around my neck and parading me on a chain. Thugs breaking my legs. And finally, Vincent’s boot slamming into my back as I was forced to crawl down the aisle on all fours.
The other was a ledger. My ledger. The one I had kept for three years, recording every dirty deal, every doctored shipment, every dollar of the million Vincent had stolen from the family.
