My Fiancé Chose Her So I Chose Myself Chapter 17
They thought that by condemning Jenna together, they could prove the past had nothing to do with them.
“Travis. Evan.”
I stopped them both.
“The fact that you’re in such a hurry to distance yourselves from her only makes me think less of you.”
They fell silent.
“Back then, you were the ones who chose to put her before everyone else. You were the ones who demanded I give way, again and again.”
I rose from my chair and straightened my coat.
“Now that you finally see what she’s really like, you dump all the blame on her. That way, you get to pretend you were just fooled by one weak wolf, right?”
I walked up to them.
“She had no rank, no authority forcing you to obey her.”
“You just liked having two women orbiting you. You liked feeling needed.”
“You gave her every opportunity to cross the line. Now that there are consequences, you’ve run over here to prove to me that you finally see her clearly.”
Travis’s face flushed a dark red. Evan lowered his head.
I didn’t give either of them the chance to explain. I turned and walked straight out of the station.
Behind me, Travis called out.
“Natalie, wait!”
I didn’t stop.
“You caused this. You can deal with the consequences yourselves.”
The acquisition ultimately closed at Northstar’s risk-adjusted valuation.
