My Fiancé Chose Her So I Chose Myself Chapter 30

Jenna’s case was resolved before winter arrived.

The building surveillance had captured everything. The police had seized the metal tumbler from her hand. And her own video had proven that even after her arrest, she was still blaming me.

She ultimately accepted a plea deal.

The judge sentenced her to probation, community service, and mandatory psychological treatment. The protective order and the Lakecrest territory injunction were both extended to two years.

The civil recovery case settled at the same time.

Every receipt and date attached to Travis’s public statement was checked, line by line. Jenna was required to return the unauthorized property and repay the confirmed expenses in installments.

As she came out of court, Brooke was standing at the bottom of the steps.

I saw them on the news feed.

Just as she always had, Jenna reached out to grab Brooke’s arm.

Brooke stepped back.

“You promised you’d help me,” Jenna said, her voice caught by the reporters’ microphones.

“I already told the truth about the music box,” Brooke said coolly. “The rest of this is on you.”

“If you hadn’t taken it in the first place, I never would have had it!”
