My Fiancé Sent Me To Another Man On Our Wedding Day Chapter 21
Margot’s father stormed in with several men behind him.
When he saw the room full of guests, his face tightened. The next second, he turned on me.
“Helena Ferraro, have you been hiding my daughter?”
“Isn’t it enough that you married into this family? Now you want to destroy mine, too?”
Chloe was on her feet in an instant.
“You sold your own daughter, and you have the nerve to blame Helena?”
“This is a family matter!” Margot’s father roared. “I raised her. What’s wrong with her helping her family out of a jam?”
Margot stared at him, her expression cracking.
“Dad, you said if I stayed with him for two years, the Hawthornes would forgive the debt.”
“When did I say that?” Her father’s eyes darted away. “You were the one who wanted to marry into money. You insisted on going with him.”
At those words, Margot went completely rigid.
On the day they sent her away, her parents had hugged her, crying, begging her to save the family.
Now that it had all blown up, they were shoving all the blame onto her.
“You forced me!” she suddenly screamed. “I was already legally married to Rafael! You locked me in my room and made me go!”
“That’s a lie!”
“It’s not a lie!” Margot pulled out her phone, sobbing. “I still have the marriage record! I was married, and you knew it!”
