My Fiancé Swapped Places With His Twin At The Altar Chapter 13

Ashley stared at me in disbelief.

Mr. Moretti rose to his feet, his tone shifting completely.

“Ms. Cross, I didn’t realize you would be representing Ryson today.”

So when profit was on the line, they could change their tune in an instant.

I didn’t rush to speak.

Chloe turned on the projector and laid out the risks in Moretti Group’s proposal one by one.

Slow technology updates, tight cash flow, unstable fulfillment capacity, understaffed after-sales support.

Her voice was even and direct.

The smile on Mr. Moretti’s face slowly stiffened.

Matteo, meanwhile, just kept looking at me.

His gaze was a complicated mix of emotions.

When Chloe finished, she turned to me. “Ms. Cross, what is your decision?”

The room fell quiet.

But it was Ashley who spoke first.

“Bianca, stop this. This is business, not a place for you to throw a tantrum.”

I looked at her.

“In what capacity are you speaking to me right now?”

Ashley froze.

“As a secretary?” My tone was mild. “Then you have no right to interrupt.”

Color flooded her face.

Matteo frowned.

“Bianca.”

I didn’t look at him.

I looked at Chloe and said, “No partnership.”

Chloe closed her file and turned to the Morettis.

“We regret to inform you that Ryson will not be considering a partnership with Moretti Group at this time. Please leave. The next prospective partner is scheduled to arrive in ten minutes.”

Matteo shot to his feet.

He stared at me, his voice a torrent of disbelief and anger.

“No matter how you got this position, this concerns the company’s bottom line. It’s not a decision you can make on your own.”

Chloe’s expression didn’t change.

“Ms. Cross’s opinion is the final decision.”

Matteo’s face darkened.

Ashley completely lost her composure.

“What would she know? In the Cross family, she never even looked at a financial report. How could she possibly represent Ryson?”

She glared at me, her eyes filled with resentment.

“Bianca, did you use some kind of improper means to get here?”
