My Fiancé Swapped Places With His Twin At The Altar Chapter 16
Matteo’s eyes reddened.
He opened his mouth, but no defense came out.
Several black cars pulled up to the curb, and bodyguards quickly formed a line.
Alessio stepped out of the lead car.
He was wearing a dark suit, his expression unreadable.
The moment Matteo saw him, his pupils contracted.
“What are you doing here?”
Alessio came to my side and took my wrist, his touch gentle as he carefully avoided the bandage on my palm.
“This is my territory.”
He looked at Matteo, his tone level. “Why shouldn’t I be here?”
Matteo looked as if he’d just heard a joke.
“That’s impossible.”
“Didn’t Dad send you to Europe to clean up a mess?”
Alessio said mildly, “That’s just what you all thought.”
Matteo’s face grew uglier by the second.
Alessio didn’t give him another moment.
“Don’t come looking for her again.”
“She’s my wife now.”
Something dark flashed in Matteo’s eyes.
“Alessio, you only took her because she was hurt.”
Alessio looked at him and suddenly smiled.
“Instead of wasting your time accusing me, why don’t you go back and watch the security footage from the wedding?”
“Then you’ll find out who was really being played.”
