“If Mr. Sutton hadn’t tried to force a courtship agreement in front of witnesses today, she probably would have preferred to keep it quiet.”

Sterling’s voice was even. “Tucker Sutton, your cub registration with your former partner is still unresolved. I suggest you handle your own affairs before trying to involve yourself in someone else’s.”
This time, even Mrs. Sutton blanched.
She forced a tight smile. “Alpha Vale, you have a strange sense of humor.”
Sterling didn’t spare her another glance.
“Grandpa,” he said, turning back to the elder, “let Chiara rest. I’ll bring the formal courtship documents to you another day.”
