My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 21

At three in the afternoon, Griffin appeared in the hotel lobby.

Chiara saw him the moment she stepped out of the elevator to get a coffee.

He was standing by a pillar, his coat draped over one arm, as if he’d been waiting for a long time.

When he saw her, he took a half step forward, then stopped.

The movement was hesitant, restrained, as if he no longer knew if he had the right to approach her.

“Chiara,” he said, “do you have a minute? I want to talk.”

“If you have something to say, say it here.”

He was silent for a moment, then his gaze dropped to her hand.

Her ring finger was bare.

“Is it real? You and Sterling? Are you joining Ironwood?”

“What does it matter to you? What status are you using to ask me that? My guardian? The acting Alpha? My sister’s husband?”

The line of his jaw tightened.

After a long pause, he lowered his head, reached into his jacket pocket, and held something out to her.

The steel ring.

The one she had left on the entry cabinet at the Pack estate.

He had brought it back.

“You forgot this,” he said.

“I didn’t forget it. You won it for me at Coney Island when I was sixteen. On the way home, you told me a ring should be given by someone you like.”
