My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 57

Then, another message.

*Chiara, your father was right. I’m not worthy of you. I wasn’t worth waiting three years for.*

*But when tomorrow is over, I want to say one thing to you. A sentence I’ve owed you for seven years. After that, the choice is yours.*

Chiara didn’t reply.

She set her phone on the bedside table, lay down, and closed her eyes.

A ship’s horn sounded from the river, low and long.

Tomorrow, she would walk into the Council as a Moretti heir.

At eight-thirty the next morning, Sterling knocked on her door.

He was already dressed in a navy suit and black shirt, the Ironwood insignia pinned to his chest, car keys in hand.

“Anthony’s men came up empty last night. The Guardians turned them away again this morning. The Council is ready. Griffin is downstairs.”

Chiara crossed to the window and looked down.

A gray Maybach was parked at the curb.

Griffin leaned against the car door, a document case in one hand.

He wasn’t looking at his phone or checking the time.

He was just standing there, his acting Alpha insignia pinned to his chest, waiting.

Sterling came to stand beside her, his gaze following hers.
