“But if you’re willing to give me one more chance, I will never use silence to make a choice for you again.”

Chiara slid her hand into her pocket, her fingers closing around the steel ring.

Then she pushed open the car door and carried the document case toward the tribunal entrance.

Behind her, she heard Griffin’s final words, his voice scattered by the wind.

“Don’t be nervous,” he said. “Your dad is watching over you.”

By the time she emerged from the tribunal, dusk was falling.

Chiara had been inside for three hours.

She had used her Moretti bloodline to unseal the files and had officially reclaimed her inherited Council seat.

A Council investigator had informed her, “The case will be reopened. Anthony Russo’s Pack transit rights are frozen, effective immediately.”

He had lost all Pack sanctuary.

When Chiara walked out, the cool evening wind hit her face.

Griffin was still standing by the car.

Exactly where she had left him.

The moment he saw her, he started toward her, then stopped a step away.

“The hearing is underway. Anthony is in custody, and the Council has revoked his seat.”

Chiara nodded. “My inheritance seat has been restored. From now on, half the Pack resolutions tied to the Moretti family will require my signature.”

At that, Griffin closed his eyes, a wave of relief washing over his face.

It was as if a great weight had finally been lifted from his shoulders.

A few seconds later, he opened them and looked at Chiara.

“There’s one more thing.”

“The dissolution agreement—Francesca signed it. The Registry has officially withdrawn her Luna candidate status.”
