My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 59

He looked at her, his gaze steady and unwavering.

It was the same way he had looked at her three years ago, outside the healer’s wing, when he’d promised to stand by her.

And it was nothing like the way he’d looked when he set the ring down on the convenience store step.

“I love you.”

He said it clearly, without hesitation.

“Not the way a guardian cares for his charge.”

“The way a man loves a woman. Loving you was always my choice.”

“When you were sixteen, you were still a minor. I couldn’t accept your feelings, and I couldn’t take advantage of your trust in me.”

“Later, when you were older, I was afraid your father would never approve. And after he died, I didn’t dare say it at all.”

“Because I truly believed I wasn’t worthy of you.”

“My greatest regret is that when you told me on the terrace that you would never look back, I didn’t stop you. And I didn’t tell you the truth.”

“I have owed you these words for seven years.”

He lowered his head, leaving the choice entirely in her hands.

“I’m not asking you to forgive me, and I’m not asking for an answer right away.”

“Go inside. Finish what your father started. I’ll be here when you get out.”

“And when you come out, if you want to leave—for Ironwood, for Paris, for any neutral territory—I won’t stop you.”
