My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 66

Anthony’s face contorted.

“Weren’t you supposed to be leaving for Europe today?”

“I was,” Francesca said, looking directly at him. “But I owed Dad my testimony. And I owed Chiara the truth.”

The hearing officer instructed her to place her hand on the oath stone.

Francesca complied.

A soft blue light enveloped her fingers.

“Three years ago, the day before the former Alpha’s death, did you meet Anthony Russo in the healer’s wing?”

“Yes.”

“What did he say to you?”

Francesca’s fingers trembled slightly.

But this time, she didn’t press a hand to her chest or use tears to halt the proceedings.

“He told me he was my biological father.”

“He wanted the password to Dad’s safe and the territorial seal. He said if I helped him, once he secured a core seat on the Nightfall Council, he would give me a true identity of my own.”

Anthony shot to his feet.

“I never said that!”

The two Guardians immediately forced him back into his chair.

Francesca looked at him, her voice still soft, but now firm.

“I didn’t give you the password. And I never touched the seal.”

“But I did hide the fact that I met with you. And after Dad died, I didn’t tell the Council.”

“Because I was afraid. Afraid everyone would find out about my bloodline. Afraid the Moretti family would cast me out. Afraid I would lose my chance to be Luna. Most of all, I was afraid Griffin would never look at me again.”

She turned to Chiara.

“And then I turned that fear into a weapon to hurt her.”

Chiara didn’t look away.

She had waited years to hear Francesca admit these things in front of everyone—without adding *for your own good*, without shedding a single, perfectly timed tear.

Anthony gave a cold laugh.

“She’s lying! She agreed to help me!”

“If she hadn’t changed her mind at the last minute and refused to hand over the seal, why would I have needed to find someone at the warehouse?”

The moment the words left his mouth, the entire chamber went dead silent.

Anthony himself froze, realizing what he’d said.

The hearing officer looked up.

“Mr. Russo, that statement has just been recorded by the oath stone and the Council record.”

Griffin didn’t move.

Chiara didn’t, either.

They didn’t have to.

In his panic, Anthony had just supplied the final link in the chain of evidence himself.
