My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 67

Anthony began to struggle against the Guardians.

“So what if I did? I was only taking what was mine!”

“Francesca is my daughter! Why did Moretti get to put his name on her registration? Her voting rights should have been mine from the start!”

“You’re wrong,” Chiara said.

She pulled Francesca’s Pack Registry record from the file.

“Dad knew about her bloodline.”

“He still gave her the Moretti name, the identity of his daughter, and the full protection of his family.”

“You never raised her for a single day. The first time you acknowledged her, it was because you wanted the power she held.”

Anthony stared at the registry form, his eyes slowly reddening with rage.

“I’m her father!”

“But she chose to testify for the man who raised her.”

Chiara’s voice wasn’t loud, but the simple truth of her words seemed to enrage Anthony completely.

He turned on Francesca.

“You think they’ll still want you? You’re not a Moretti! And Griffin never loved you!”

Francesca’s face went pale.

Her wolf-scent wavered for a moment, then, impossibly, it steadied.

“I know,” she said.

It was the first time she had spoken those two words without anyone holding her up.

“Dad knew I wasn’t his, and he still wrote my name in the Registry.”

“And you knew I was yours, and all you ever wanted was to use me as a key.”

Anthony opened his mouth again, but the hearing officer brought down the gavel with a sharp crack.

“Anthony Russo is hereby permanently stripped of his Inter-Pack Council seat and all Pack protections.”

“Evidence of embezzlement, illegal wolfsbane purchases, and collusion with Rogue funds will be transferred to the human criminal justice system.”

“The death of the former Nightfall Alpha will be formally reopened as a criminal investigation, effective immediately.”

“All elder voting rights connected to the involved funds are frozen, pending review.”

As the Guardians led Anthony away, he continued to shout Francesca’s name.

Francesca never looked back.

She stepped down from the witness stand and walked over to Chiara.

“I’ve said what I came to say.”

Chiara looked at her.

“No, you haven’t.”

Francesca blinked.

“In the chapel, you lied and said I nodded to accept Tucker’s courtship. At the hotel, you lied and told me Dad made Griffin choose between us.”

“Those debts don’t disappear just because you testified today.”

Francesca’s lips parted, then closed.

In the end, she simply nodded.

“I know.”
