My Guardian Married My Sister But I’m His Alpha Chapter 76

Before spring arrived, Chiara returned to Paris.

The gallery still had her employment records on file.

Her old boss asked if she wanted to stay on.

Chiara didn’t say no.

She spent two weeks closing out her apartment, her bank accounts, and all the loose ends of the life she had built there. She also negotiated a new partnership with a neutral Pack’s arts program.

Nightfall was her responsibility.

But Paris didn’t have to be a memory of an escape.

Those three years had been hard, but they were also the first time she had ever lived entirely for herself.

Griffin did not go with her.

Before she left, he only asked, “Do you want me to come?”

Chiara said no.

So he stayed in New York, handling Pack affairs and calling her once a night, at a time that was convenient for her.

He didn’t ask where she was staying.

He didn’t send Guardians to stand watch outside the gallery.

Two weeks later, Chiara bought her own ticket back to New York.

When her plane landed at JFK, the tarmac was slick with recent rain.

Three years ago, she had left from this airport, dropping her SIM card into a seat pocket.

A few months ago, she had returned to this same terminal, and Griffin had grabbed her wrist.

This time, he stood just outside the arrivals hall.

He wasn’t blocking her path.

He wasn’t deciding where she would go.

He was simply watching her from a distance.

Chiara rolled her suitcase toward him.

“Is the car outside?” she asked.

Griffin nodded.

“If you feel like getting in.”

Chiara pushed her suitcase toward him.

“Food first. I’m hungry.”

A slow smile spread across Griffin’s face.

“All right.”

“No baked eggplant.”

“And no cilantro.”

“So you do remember.”

They walked out of the airport, side by side.

This time, no one was chasing, and no one was running away.
