My Racer Chose Her So I Canceled Our Wedding Chapter 03
We’re Done
After dinner, someone suggested moving to the private game lounge next door.
Normally, I would have gone home.
Tonight, I stayed.
I still hadn’t told Adrian we were over.
We ended up playing cards around a long table.
Sienna sat beside Adrian.
I sat across from them.
Within twenty minutes, it became obvious Adrian was throwing the game for her.
He discarded exactly what she needed, ignored easy chances to win, and laughed every time she celebrated.
“You’re terrible tonight, Cole,” someone teased.
Adrian leaned back.
“Maybe I just want her to win.”
My stomach started aching.
It happened sometimes after long meals, especially when I was stressed.
I pressed a hand against my abdomen.
Adrian noticed immediately.
“Stomach ache again?”
His palm covered mine automatically, rubbing slow circles through my dress.
“You know you shouldn’t eat that much when your stomach’s acting up.”
For a second, the gesture almost felt familiar.
That was the confusing thing about Adrian.
He could remember I had stomach problems.
He could notice when I was tired.
He could search an entire rally ground because I disappeared.
And somehow, none of that stopped him from hurting me.
I shifted away.
The game continued.
By the end of the game, Adrian was the only one who hadn’t won.
One of the drivers laughed.
“All right, champion. Take your punishment.”
Adrian pulled a dare card.
The man beside him read it aloud.
“Kiss the person on your right. If you refuse, the person on your right takes a shot.”
The room exploded with cheers.
Sienna was sitting on Adrian’s right.
Everyone looked at me.
They were waiting for the jealous fiancée.
The woman who would ruin the game.
Instead, I smiled.
“It’s a game. Do whatever you want.”
Adrian’s expression changed.
“No, forget it. Adrian’s already under enough pressure. I don’t want Lena getting upset with him later.” Sienna said.
She reached toward the shot glass.
“I’ll drink. It’s fine if I get a rash.”
Adrian caught her wrist immediately.
“You’re not drinking.”
“But—”
“It’s one kiss.”
He stood.
Then, in front of me and half his team, Adrian Cole cupped Sienna’s chin and kissed her.
Not a quick brush of the lips.
Not something embarrassed or accidental.
A real kiss.
