Reborn To Reject My Alpha And Watch His World Burn Chapter 19
In the chaos, Serena snatched up a coat and fled toward the back garden.
Vivian chased her all the way to the indoor pool and grabbed her by the shoulder.
“You still think you can run?”
“When I first found out about you and Nolan, I never should have covered for you. Today, you’ll pay for what you did to Lucas and to that child!”
Serena tore herself free and shoved Vivian hard into the pool.
Vivian’s head slammed against the concrete edge on the way down, and she lost consciousness instantly.
Her wolf was too old to wake her in time. The staff were all gathered around Ethan, whose eyes had been burned by silver. No one noticed Vivian sinking silently beneath the water.
Serena escaped Ironridge territory.
A few days later, stripped of her war widow protection and her Pack membership, she was found dead in the capital’s nightlife district. The Royal Guard concluded she had been robbed while on the run, and the case was transferred to the capital’s security department for further investigation.
The Royal Council revoked Nolan’s seat and suspended most of his authority to act across Pack lines.
To preserve Ironridge, he was forced to go personally to the most chaotic stretch of the northern rogue border, where he would remain under royal supervision and shoulder the long-term defense duties normally handled by a commander.
When he returned to his territory after his hearing at the Royal Castle, all that awaited him was a drowned mother and a son who would never see again.
By then, I had already left the capital with my parents and gone to the coast to reunite with my grandfather.
