The Mafia Princess’s Revenge Chapter 06
Giulio stood by the door. “Make her talk.”
Elio’s head snapped up. “Giulio—her body can’t handle this right now—”
“Then make sure she doesn’t die.” Giulio’s voice was frigid.
Elio fell silent. After a few seconds, he opened his medical case. I watched him take out a vial of clear liquid. Elio had taught me about it before—a powerful stimulant that kept a person conscious through extreme pain and blood loss.
I stared at him. “Elio…”
The needle pierced my arm. Cold liquid pushed into my vein. “The dosage won’t damage your heart,” he said. “You need to learn your lesson.” His tone was almost soothing.
I laughed quietly. He was always like this—making sure he was a good doctor before he hurt me.
My hands were bound to both sides of the chair.
Adriano’s man stepped in front of me, holding a shock baton.
“Last chance.”
“Where is Miss Capello?”
“I don’t know.”
When it felt like my insides were being torn apart, only one thought remained in my mind.
I can’t die.
Mama is still waiting for me.
I finally know she’s alive.
I haven’t seen her yet.
So I can’t die.
The second jolt.
The third.
I gripped the armrests until my knuckles went white. Before, whenever I couldn’t take it anymore, I’d think—what does it matter, nobody cares about me anyway. But now it was different. Someone was waiting for me in Sicily. She didn’t know what I’d become. Didn’t know I’d lost an eye. Didn’t know what these years had been like for me. She might even still be waiting for me to call her Mama.
So I had to live.
“Still not talking?”
I shook my head. “It wasn’t me…”
My voice was barely audible anymore.
Giulio watched me for a long time.
Then turned away.
“Continue. Until she tells the truth.”
I lost track of time.
Then—hurried footsteps in the corridor outside.
“Mr. Greco!” someone shouted. “Miss Marta’s been found!”
Instant silence beyond the door. Then Giulio’s voice—the relief obvious: “Where is she?”
“She’d only gone to a jewelry workshop near West Port. She said she’d originally planned to pick up Miss Elisa personally today—she’d pre-ordered a gift to give her when they met.
Then the car broke down and her phone died. That’s why no one could reach her. She’s back at the estate now.”
Dead silence fell outside the room.
Several seconds passed.
Adriano’s voice: “You’re saying… she was at a jewelry shop this whole time?”
“Yes. Miss Marta was never kidnapped by anyone.”
No one spoke.
The taste of blood filled my mouth.
Wrong again.
They’d been wrong—again. I felt nothing. This had happened too many times.
The first time, I’d believed they’d apologize once the truth came out.
The second time, I’d still waited.
Now—I just wanted to leave.
“Stop!”
Nicola suddenly shouted from outside the door.
The door burst open.
Several people rushed in.
But it was too late. The interrogator had just pulled back his hand.
I looked down. A thin blade was lodged in my chest. Blood rapidly soaked through the white hospital gown.
Giulio’s footsteps halted. The color drained completely from Adriano’s face. Elio’s medical case hit the floor with a crash. And Nicola stood at the front. For the first time, I saw genuine terror on his face.
“Elisa…”
I opened my mouth but no sound came.
The next second, the man pulled out the blade. Blood sprayed outward—splattering across all four of them.
