The Prince Let Me Die Now He Begs For My Love Chapter 11
Every day, I slept until nearly noon, then slowly went through the wedding plans.
As for the commemorative album that I was required to complete myself, I pasted in one photo a day and declared my work finished.
But life for Evelyn at Royal Castle was becoming more and more miserable.
Though Queen Helena had accepted her as the Crown Prince’s fiancée, she still minded that Evelyn lacked formal alliance-marriage qualifications.
Royal protocol, media training, lists of Pack delegates—if she made a single mistake, Queen Helena made her relearn everything from the beginning.
Adrian kept protecting Evelyn.
When Queen Helena criticized her, he even stayed in the conference room with her until she finished all her lessons.
He didn’t want Evelyn living alone in an unfamiliar environment.
Even with royal affairs keeping him busy, he still made time to visit her suite.
At first, he went almost every other day.
Later, it became once every three or four days.
After that, his attitude quietly turned cold.
Mia was still in touch with Evelyn’s personal assistant.
She told me Adrian hadn’t gone to see Evelyn in a long time.
I stared in surprise.
“What happened?”
Mia thought for a while.
“I think it had something to do with a painting.”
That day, the new wrist guard Evelyn had made for Adrian was torn by one of the cats kept at Royal Castle.
Adrian took it to her to mend.
They met in the royal art gallery, and on impulse, he asked Evelyn to paint a garden scene for the summer charity auction.
She painted thick trees, blooming red flowers, and then added a few birds in the shade.
“Evelyn painted well. But at the end, she casually dotted eyes onto every single bird.”
When Mia got to that part, she gave me a complicated look.
Ever since I was little, whenever I painted birds, I never gave them eyes.
“Adrian’s face changed on the spot. He didn’t say a word—just put down the brush and left.”
Gavin came looking for me at my house many times.
Each time, I had the staff tell him I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t receive visitors.
Until Queen Helena’s birthday charity banquet, I had no way to avoid him any longer.
He stopped me in the lakeside garden at Royal Castle.
