The Stolen Savior: He Loved The Wrong Sister Chapter 26

Camille was dragged out, her screams fading into the distance.

But Nora’s heart couldn’t settle.

So from the moment Camille had been brought into the Hartley household, the seeds of hatred had already been planted. She blamed Nora’s mother for her own mother’s death, so she’d found every possible way to take revenge.

Camille claimed Nora’s mother had refused to acknowledge her and her mother, refusing to let them appear in any Hartley family photo, and that was why her mother had died out there alone.

But the truth was, Nora’s mother had never known her husband had another family.

It wasn’t until Mr. Hartley brought a young Camille home that Nora’s mother learned the truth.

“My wife won’t accept you, and neither will the family. If I publicly brought you in, there would be no place for your names in the trust.”

“Camille, sweetheart, Daddy wants to claim you publicly. But the trust terms are strict. Your mother’s name can’t be added, so neither your name nor mine can be added either.”

These had all just been excuses from Mr. Hartley.

Camille had schemed her entire life, and in the end, she’d taken revenge on the wrong person.

After dealing with Camille, Lucian turned to Nora, his voice softening. “Oh, I kept forgetting to mention—Snowball’s fine now. After his surgery, he spent two more months recovering at the animal hospital. He’s completely healthy again.”

“Do you want to go see him? He’s been missing you as much as I have.”

Nora had intended to leave. But at the mention of Snowball, she hesitated.

Honestly, she did want to see Snowball.
