The Wedding Game That Cost Him Everything Chapter 15

“Tucker, if you walk out that door today, don’t ever come back.”

His father’s voice was heavy.

This wasn’t the kind of thing an ordinary father said in anger.

When the head of the Moretti Family said those words in front of the Bellandi Family, it meant Tucker would lose his place as heir and forfeit all Family protection.

Tucker’s steps faltered for a moment, but in the end, he still left with Sloane.

His family had said things like this before because of Isolde.

Nothing had ever really come of it.

Sloane, still in her blood-stained wedding dress, looked back at him and actually managed a smile.

“Do you think this counts as me stealing the wedding?”

If this had been before, Tucker might have gone along with the joke.

But now there was only one question in his mind.

“Where is Isolde?”

Sloane curled her lip. “Can’t you at least play along with a wedding-crashing stunt this romantic?”

Tucker just stared at her.

Sloane raised her hands in surrender.

“All right, fine. My contacts in Europe saw her. Isolde’s in Geneva now, doing a fellowship at a teaching hospital.”

She waved her phone.

“I already booked the tickets. We’ll get there around midnight.”

Right in front of Tucker, Sloane peeled off the wedding dress and changed into street clothes.

Tucker didn’t look.

They had watched porn together, and done things that crossed all kinds of boundaries.

That didn’t mean he could still act like none of it mattered now.

“I already had people grab Isolde. I also had her place smashed up.”

“When you get there, you can play the hero and save her.”

“So? Isn’t that a creative way to apologize?”
