Westley You Are Late Chapter 04

Westley You Are Late Chapter 04

I decided to tell Westley about my diagnosis.

My parents were tied up with business and wouldn’t be back for two weeks.

I needed to talk to someone about the surgery.

I found Westley at a bar with Leo and the others.

I had just reached the door when I heard Leo’s voice from inside.

“You’ve really got some means to handle her. Got her to calm down that fast. What’s your secret?”

Sofia laughed. “Nothing. Brielle’s a pushover.”

Leo laughed with her.

“The Pierces made her well-protected. It is easy to control her.”

Then I heard Westley’s laugh, casual and unbothered.

“Easy or not, I’m getting sick of smoothing things over.”

He paused.

“This is the last time.”

Sofia cut in immediately. “No way. You promised you’d get her to give me that project.”

Leo’s brow must have arched.

“The one she’s been killing herself over for three months? You think she’ll just hand it over?”

Westley didn’t say anything.

But his silence said it all—he didn’t see it being a problem.

The memory of that implied confidence would haunt me for a long time.

I turned to leave, but a voice behind me called out.

“Brielle? What are you doing out here? Aren’t you going in?”
