You Told Me To Walk So I Walked Right Out Of Your Lives Chapter 23

Ronan’s expression changed instantly.

“You returned all of it?”

“Yes.”

“Amaris, I gave you that money willingly.”

“But I never agreed to accept it.”

My father quickly stepped in front of Ronan.

“That was compensation for my daughter. The fact that she’s willing to stand here today means she has forgiven us.”

I looked at him.

“Mr. Santoro, I came because you interpreted my not returning the money as forgiveness.”

The color slowly drained from his face.

“Now the money has been returned in full. So I’ll say it again.”

I lifted the microphone closer to my mouth.

“I will not be returning to the Santoro family, and I have not forgiven you.”

“Please stop using my name to convince your company that you’ve changed.”

My mother’s tears started to fall.

“Amaris, must you embarrass us in front of so many people?”

I looked at her calmly.

“Back then, when you grabbed my collar and called me heartless, there were plenty of cameras, too.”

Her mouth opened, but no words came out.

Just then, a cold laugh echoed from the back of the venue.

“Of course you’re anxious. She won’t forgive you.”

Everyone turned.

Sofia took off her sunglasses and stood up from the last row.
