You Told Me To Walk So I Walked Right Out Of Your Lives Chapter 24
My parents’ faces changed instantly.
“Who let you in here?”
Sofia looked at my mother, her own eyes turning red.
“Didn’t you used to say I would always be your daughter?”
My mother took a step back.
“You hurt Amaris, and you hurt us. We raised you for so many years, and this is how you repay us?”
Sofia laughed.
“So now you finally know what it feels like to be hurt by someone you raised?”
“Shut up!”
My father pointed toward the door.
“Get out!”
“Why should I?”
Sofia rushed to the front of the stage and snatched a microphone.
“You’re pinning all the blame on me today, but have you forgotten who refused to listen to Amaris back then?”
“I pretended to fall down the stairs, and you decided she was a bully.”
“She pulled me out of the lake, and without me saying a word, you kicked her right back in.”
The venue fell completely silent.
My mother trembled with rage. “That was because you kept lying to us!”
“But was I the one who hit her every time?”
Sofia pointed at Ronan.
“He was the one who snapped her sketchpad in half. When she was about to drown, the three of you were the ones standing on the bank, watching.”
Ronan’s face went pale.
“I admit I did those things. But at the time, I didn’t know you were—”
“You didn’t know I was a recruiter, so that made it okay to treat her like that?”
Sofia cut him off.
“Ronan, you don’t regret doing something wrong. You only regret protecting the wrong person.”
After those words fell, Ronan couldn’t speak.
