Reborn Before My Captain Fiancé’s Beloved Dies In A Plane Crash Chapter 11

“I know what kind of person Elara is. Your father and I know better than anyone.”

Mrs. Bellini’s voice was hoarse.

“After Chloe dumped you, you were a ghost.”

“The one who stayed by your side through all of it was Elara.”

“She felt sorry for you. She wanted to help us look after you.”

She lifted a hand and pointed at Archer, her eyes filled with disappointment.

“Do you remember what you said to Mr. and Mrs. Costa at their hospital beds?”

“You said you would take care of Elara for the rest of her life. You told them not to worry.”

“Is this how you take care of her? By reducing her to this—by costing her her child?”

“Do you know that while you were off keeping someone else company, the doctor told us Elara would never dance again?”

“Is this the lifetime of care you promised her?”

By the end, Mrs. Bellini’s voice was cracking.

She leaned against Mr. Bellini, looking as if she had aged years in a single moment.

Archer stood frozen, and for the first time, he looked completely lost.

“Why… why was it you?”

Mrs. Bellini let out a humorless laugh.

“Because during that time, you drank yourself into a stupor every day, and the name you mumbled wasn’t Chloe’s. It was Elara’s.”

“I thought that meant you still had feelings for her, so I went to a doctor and got the drugs.”

She closed her eyes.

“I did it. If you want to hate someone, hate me.”

Archer opened his mouth, but nothing came out.

A few seconds later, as if grabbing one last lifeline, he turned sharply to me.

“What about high school? What about you sending your friends to bully Chloe in the girls’ restroom?”

The only response was the sound of cold laughter.

Everyone was looking at him like he was a joke.

My best friend from high school stepped forward.

“We went to a private school, Archer. There were security cameras in the hallway outside the girls’ restroom.”

“If you’d gone to the security office and watched the footage, you would have known if anyone bullied her.”

“Did you ever even check? Not once?”
