Reborn Before My Captain Fiancé’s Beloved Dies In A Plane Crash Chapter 10

“Those men were after Elara.”

“If the class president, the captain, and I hadn’t passed by and called the police, something terrible would have happened to her.”

The moment he finished, other classmates began to speak up.

“Elara came back to school with the police that day.”

“If she’d arranged it herself, the police would have known immediately.”

Archer had clearly never expected this.

His expression grew uglier by the second.

His lips moved, but he couldn’t seem to find any words.

Just then, his assistant rushed through the door.

“Mr. Bellini, we found it!”

“There was a police case back then—assault with a deadly weapon.”

“The ringleader just got out of state prison four years ago.”

Archer immediately demanded, “Did he say the Costa family was behind it?”

His assistant’s voice trembled.

“N-no. The ringleader wouldn’t talk. But several of his accomplices turned over their chat logs from that time.”

“They admitted the person who paid them was named Chloe.”

Archer went utterly still.

I looked at him, feeling nothing.

I had said all of this countless times in my last life.

I had explained, investigated, and begged him to believe me.

He never did.

Holding the divorce papers, I wheeled myself past him.

“None of that matters anymore. Sign it.”

Only then did Archer slowly turn to look at me.

The instant our eyes met, he flinched as if burned.

He couldn’t bear the possibility that I might have been innocent.

So he quickly found another excuse.

“Fine. Even if that wasn’t you, you’re still the one who drugged me, aren’t you?”

I didn’t answer.

But another voice, old and exhausted, filled the room.

“I drugged you.”

It was Mrs. Bellini.
